Doctor of Physical Therapy

Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist

Certified Athletic Trainer

My name is Marc Millner, and I was born and raised in Santa Barbara, CA. My mission is to bring the highest level of sports-performance rehabilitation to the community I call home.

With a lifelong passion for both sports and rehabilitation, I’ve dedicated my career to merging acute injury recovery with sports performance training. My goal is to guide athletes—and their families—through the often complex and overwhelming process of returning to peak performance after an injury. I understand how challenging this journey can be. Different doctors provide different information, parents try to communicate with coaches, and everyone wants what’s best for the athlete—but it can quickly become confusing. That’s where I step in. I act as the bridge between doctors, athletes, parents, and coaches, ensuring that everyone is on the same page with one clear goal: getting the athlete back to their sport stronger, safer, and better than before the injury.

While my primary focus is athletics, I also provide care for general orthopedic conditions and post-operative recovery, helping all individuals return to the activities they love with confidence.

WHY ME

PT, DPT (Doctor of Physical Therapy)

I hold a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Western University (2020) and am a licensed physical therapist in California. This allows me to rehabilitate neuro-musculoskeletal injuries with a comprehensive, evidence-based approach.

OCS (Orthopedic Clinical Specialist)

I completed additional post-doctoral training and earned my board certification in Orthopedics—an advanced credential in physical therapy that goes beyond standard licensing to specialize in orthopedic rehabilitation.

ATC (Certified Athletic Trainer)

B.S. in Athletic Training from CSUN (2015) and national certification, I provide on-field acute care and sports-focused rehabilitation, ensuring athletes get expert care from the moment an injury occurs.

XPS, APCC, PES, CES

These advanced strength and conditioning and performance certifications enable me to take athletes beyond recovery into performance enhancement—helping them return to their sport stronger, faster, and more resilient than before
